A square in a waiting position. Me and my friend Iris Indriðadóttir applied for a grant from the city of Reykjavík to redesign a square in Reykjavík city centre. The place belongs to apartments of elderly people but was kind of taken over by homeless people in Reykjavík. The elderly were scared of walking through the square and the goal was to liven up the square so that that would not be a problem. We had events every other weekend all summer and designed patios for people to sit on that the restaurants and cafés near by used for outside service. We got all the material from the waste management company Sorpa.
